Phraseum is a CTBT tool for learning or Perfecting Yourself in a Foreign Language by Collecting Phrases or expressions found on the web.
The traditional word book with Web2 sauce. Phraseum offers a natural system for connected generations, easy to use, which will allow the learner to enrich their vocabulary with formulations and expressions encountered on the web.
Phraseum works very simply thanks to a small dropplet to install on your browser. When you surf and encounter an interesting word, phrase or phrase, it will be enough to click on it to keep it in your virtual notebook. You will then be able to classify your expressions in thematic folders. For example: At home, on travel, on … transports etc. You will also be able to attach tags to find them better.
Tags or keywords are not mandatory, but if you do not use them, you will deprive yourself of one of the strengths of this service: the suggestion of similar phrases or expressions. This is one of the peculiarities of Phraseum: the tool also functions as a social network.
By visiting and logging into the Phraseum website you will be able to benefit from expressions and phrases collected by other users of the service. You can also retrieve sentences from other notebooks and insert them into your own. You will be able to share your notebooks and follow other users.
On your personal dashboard, you'll have the ability to find phrases similar to the ones you've kept. You can translate a sentence on the fly with Google Translate or consult the original page of an expression to better understand the context.
