Thorium Reader is an application that allows to read e-books, without a dedicated e-reader, directly on your laptop or desktop. An app that has the great advantage of being free and universal. It works on all operating systems, so you can install it on Windows, Mac or Linux.

A good solution to read ePubs on your desktop
Thorium Reader responds to a need that is far from anecdotal: provide comfortable reading software to read an e-book directly from your desktop computer. Developed by the EDRLab, which is a kind of European e-book laboratory, Thorium Reader has the good taste to be completely free of charge and without any advertising. Coming from the free world, it also forbids itself from collecting data of any kind.
A computer screen reader who can read most eBook formats
Until now, there was no modern reading application compliant with EPUB 3. That's what fixed it. In addition to EPUB 3, the application also manages the playback of audiobooks, the DiViNa (Digital Visual Narrative) format for comic books and protected and unprotected PDFs. The application also offers very practical functions for visually impaired people as well as dyslexics.

Once installed on your machine, after importing e-books from an OPDS directory or stream, you will be able to read them on any screen size, customize the layout settings, navigate through the table of contents or list of pages, place … bookmarks
The application is free of charge. No announcements. No private data is used.
