A beautiful site for a magnificent archaeological discovery"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The Chauvet Cave Pont d\u2019Arc<\/strong> has benefited over the past few months from<strong>a new website that beautifully pays tribute to this unique place<\/strong>\u00a0a UNESCO World Heritage Site since last year.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Ministry of Culture, the prime contractor for this multimedia project, did the right thing.<\/strong> and offers an ideal resource to dive into this incredible place where men left their mark more than 36,000 years ago. Ideal, because the site is aimed at all audiences and especially at the world of education, which will find material to propose discoveries and activities on prehistory.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/outilstice.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/Grotte-home.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2469\" src=\"https:\/\/outilstice.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/Grotte-home.jpg\" alt=\"Chauvet Cave\" width=\"1188\" height=\"591\" srcset=\"https:\/\/outilstice.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/Grotte-home.jpg 1188w, https:\/\/outilstice.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/Grotte-home-300x149.jpg 300w, https:\/\/outilstice.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/Grotte-home-1024x509.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1188px) 100vw, 1188px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This Chauvet Cave was not discovered until 18 December 1994. A recent discovery for a cavity that is one of the oldest Paleolithic caves in the world, with parietal works dating back some 36,000 years.<\/p>\n<p>The new site was inaugurated on the occasion of the opening of the <strong>the Cave <span class=\"il\">Bridge<\/span> <span class=\"il\">d<\/span>\u201c<span class=\"il\">Arc<\/span><\/strong>, replica of the original cave which is of course inaccessible to the public.<\/p>\n<p><strong>This multimedia site is a great success.<\/strong> Realization, navigation and ergonomics are impeccable. We let ourselves be guided through the chapters and we are surprised to explore this or that corner of the site as a real speleologist of the net. The user experience was well thought out to put form at the service of the substance. Congratulations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The site of Chauvet Cave consists of four large parts<\/strong> All illustrated by many high-definition images, videos as well as 360\u00b0 navigations. We see here all that multimedia can bring to this type of pedagogical project.<\/p>\n<p>The four parts are as follows:<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Discover the cave<\/em>\u00a0<\/strong>offers a virtual tour of the various rooms and spaces, as well as numerous documents on the discovery itself and on the geographical and historical environment.
