The TDC magazine of the Canop\u00e9 network<\/strong><\/a> ends the school year with an exciting special issue on \"Media Speeches\"<\/strong>. An indispensable number for all those interested in media literacy. I recommend it to you.\"TDC<\/p>\n

I also recommend it to all journalism students and working colleagues. TDC offers a fairly comprehensive overview of the issues that the production and dissemination of information raises in our modern societies.<\/strong>. How have discourses and media languages evolved with digital and instant information? The question is all the more deserving of being asked at a time when the line between information producers and \u2018consumers\u2019 is increasingly being drawn.<\/p>\n

TDC offers with this quite remarkable number of take a step back and the time needed for reflection.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The magazine questions the place of the media and journalists in our democracies with in particular a long interview withHerv\u00e9 Brusini<\/em><\/strong>, journalist at France T\u00e9l\u00e9vision, who pleads for a pedagogy of the media and the profession of journalist himself.<\/p>\n

Enthusiastic also about the article ofIsabelle Dumez F\u00e9roc<\/strong><\/em> Senior lecturer at the University of Poitiers on media hype.<\/strong> It deciphers the springs that explain \u2018the frequent irrepressible movements of the media system\u2019.<\/p>\n

\"TDC\"<\/p>\n

\u2018Backpacking\u2019 in which the image plays a central role. Alain Bertho<\/em>, Professor at Paris 8, discusses how the arrival of tools such as smartphones has changed in the production of information and in collective mobilisations. This is vividly illustrated by the use of an application such as Persicope in current social mobilisations in the context of the El Khomri Labour Law.<\/p>\n

Fran\u00e7ois Robinet<\/em> of the University of Versailles recalls in a very comprehensive reference article the importance of deciphering media images and advocating for \u2018the acquisition of a visual culture at school\u2019<\/strong>. Exciting.<\/p>\n

In addition to the evolution of the profession of journalist and the media, this issue of TDC also discusses the evolution of narrative languages and modes. A good introduction to \"Storytelling\" or the place of miscellaneous fact in literature give rise to particularly well-documented articles.<\/p>\n

A little personal crush for an article from my friend Laurent Catherine<\/em><\/strong>, journalist and teacher at the School of Information Professions in Paris. In \"In Formatio\", Laurent Catherine returns to editorial techniques. \u2018Journalistic writing, beyond its own rules, obeys the same requirements of the right word as literature to arouse both curiosity and pleasure\u2019, recalls Laurent Catherine, who gives some tasty examples. Rereading his article, we say that this requirement of quality of writing is undoubtedly one of the victims of the industrialisation and immediacy of information.<\/p>\n

This issue of TDC offers you at the end of the review two pages of resources and a bibliography that alone deserves its award.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Cherry on the cake, TDC offers free online modules to accompany two PPE (Interdisciplinary Practical Teachings)<\/strong> under the heading \u2018Information, communication and citizenship\u2019:
