Hyfy<\/strong> is an interesting new option for make short videos of what is happening on your computer screen<\/strong> for example to make small lessons for your students.<\/p>\n

It is perhaps one of the most comprehensive and successful tools in this area.<\/strong>. I presented here some time ago Screencastify<\/a> which offers quite similar functions. Hyfy is also ideal for the inverted class or to put online a small tutorial or instruction.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hyfy makes it possible to a video of what is happening on your computer screen and recording your voice at the same time.<\/strong> The instructions for use of this screenshot service are very simple. It takes the form of an extension for the Chrome browser, which, once installed, will display a new button in your navigation bar.<\/p>\n

\"Hyfy\"You will be able to record an on-screen manipulation with a simple click on this icon. Hyfy can record what is happening in the open tab of your browser but also on the whole screen.<\/strong> With one click you start the recording, with another click you stop it and as soon as the created video is ready to be shared.<\/p>\n

Hyfy provides you with all the necessary options for sharing.<\/strong> You can get a link in the form of a single URL. You can share the video by email or on social networks. You can also download it to your computer's hard drive. The tool, which also targets an in-company audience, also offers sharing options in the main professional collaborative tools such as Slack or HipChat.<\/p>\n

You can protect your videos if you want<\/strong> limiting read access to a domain name or to a single email address.<\/p>\n

All your videos created in this way are stored by Hyfy in your personal gallery or you can find them for later use.<\/p>\n

An excellent capture tool<\/a> well adapted to the needs in education<\/strong>. Hyfy even allows more advanced users to record the screen of a smartphone or tablet.<\/p>\n

Hyfy offers several subscription plans including a fully operational free subscription plan<\/strong>. The limit is on the duration of recorded videos. These may not exceed three minutes. You will have to download them quickly, they will only be kept online on the platform for thirty days. To lift these limits, you will need to upgrade to a subscription of just under \u20ac5 per month.<\/p>\n
