Open Culture<\/strong> is a site that lists thousands of free and open resources in many areas of culture or education. It offers among others a very interesting resource bank dedicated to language learning.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"Open<\/p>\n

Open Culture does not offer its own content, but does a very useful curation job. Over time, this has created an impressive knowledge base.<\/p>\n

For example, it has the most comprehensive collection of resources for learning (or teaching) no less than 48 different languages.<\/strong> Here you will find audiobooks, films, e-books, online courses and a collection of videos from the most prestigious universities around the world. Open Culture offers 250 free courses and offers an impressive amount of links to many resources. They are of uneven quality, but looking carefully you should find some interesting nuggets.<\/p>\n

All available resources are classified by language.<\/strong> It starts with Amharic and ends with Yiddish. Open Culture lists interesting sites, but also videos or podcasts and even music playlists \u2026<\/strong> The section dedicated to French<\/a> is a good example of the diversity of existing resources:
\nCourses from Yale University or the BBC, but also the excellent content offered by Radio France Internationale. If you need to download a video, you can turn to Cobalt Tools<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

The interface of Open Culture is a bit old-fashioned and would benefit from being more readable, but the real flaw is advertising, which is a bit too invasive for my taste. (The first links on the page are for example advertisements)<\/p>\n
