Library Planet<\/strong> is a personal favorite for an initiative launched by two lovers of books and libraries in Denmark. Their idea: provide a guide to global collaborative libraries.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Our two friends offer online a kind of Lonely Planet* (the famous travel guide) libraries around the world. The idea is to discover the wonders of large libraries (and also the smallest around the world). The beautiful idea.<\/p>\n

A collaborative guide that you can discover online for free<\/strong> through a beautifully realized blog. Each reader is called upon to participate and of course the librarians first. What is the history of the place? What are the special features of the library? What is the atmosphere? How is it arranged? And then travel guide obliges, when can one access it with all the practical information for the traveler-reader.<\/p>\n

Articles are illustrated with images posted by contributors<\/strong> This alone is often enough to be aware of the atmosphere in the various places.<\/p>\n

Forty libraries are present on this very particular guide. A global map makes it possible to locate them. There are a few magnificent rooms and spaces here that make you want to give in to reading. Shanghai, Los Angeles, Lisbon, Reykjavik \u2026 good trip to the country where books are kings.<\/p>\n

There is only one French library at the moment. This is the Belle Beille University Library in Angers<\/strong>. Congratulations to its director Nathalie Clot who took the time to propose the place to the directory. She did well, the library looks beautiful.
