The basic idea is toIntroducing young people to code and programming<\/a> via game and drawing<\/strong>. On Algoblocs, the student will program the movements of a kind of virtual pen to reproduce shapes that go along with the challenges becoming more and more complex.<\/p>\n

In other words, beyond interlocking blocks as can be seen in other programmes to learn how to code, the young programmer will have to create geometric shapes. By default, the tool offers a few hundred exercises of varying difficulty, but a creation mode also allows you to create your own drawings.<\/p>\n

The activity screen is divided into three parts. On the left the figure to be programmed, in a central column the possible actions via blocks of code, on the right finally the blank sheet where the student will deposit and order his blocks to reproduce the figure. At the bottom of the screen, you have access to the various possible settings (sound, speed, background grid, etc.).<\/p>\n

Algoblocs is a software package on CDRom or downloadable that works on PC and Mac. It does not require an internet connection, which can sometimes be a headache. It can be used with a video projector for collective work or on all workstations in a computer room. The tool offers simplified multi-student management.<\/p>\n

The teacher is provided with a comprehensive pedagogical guide including all the corrects to minimise the preparation time.<\/p>\n
