Ideal for promoting autonomy.

Magic pens to help dyslexic children …and others

The use is simple. Just highlight any text and it is instantly recognised, analysed by optical character recognition, and then read aloud by high-quality text-to-speech. The text is listened to by a speaker built into the pen or by earphones provided so that it can be used in the classroom, for example.

The ReaderPen model goes much further with advanced functions such as consulting embedded dictionaries, memorizing highlighted texts or passages for deferred listening or transfer to a desktop computer, taking voice notes or playing audio files. Cpen pens are lightweight and can be used by the youngest, right-handed and left-handed thanks to the device’s settings.

ReaderPen and ExamReader digital pens improve with interesting new features

This is good news. CPen pens had very few flaws, but the new version of the software on board both devices offers new functions that improve their use. Perhaps the most important thing is to be able to read a full text on request rather than on a line-by-line basis. Another interesting novelty, reading on request. A setting makes it possible to trigger playback on request: you highlight a text quickly and then position the cursor at the place from which you want to listen to the text. A very practical agility that was lacking until then.

ExamReader also gained the ability to read foreign texts with the addition of synthetic voices for Dutch, Danish, Swedish, Portuguese, Russian and Chinese. Gifted with languages, he already spoke common languages such as English of course, Spanish, Italian or German. ReaderPen is improving its Dictionary application. Searching for and reading the definition of a word can be triggered directly from a word on the screen. A second dictionary, Oxford, targeting younger users is provided for English, in addition to the original Collins dictionary.

CPen's ReaderPen and ExamReader pens are marketed in France by Mysoft at a price of €259 including tax.

Link: ReaderPen and ExamReader

CPen's two excellent ReaderPen and ExamReader digital pens introduce new features that improve their use.
