The History of Juniors. A free monthly supplement to tell the story to children

Last updated on 24 March 2021

The History of Juniors is an excellent idea from the great monthly magazine L’Histoire. This is a free eight-page supplement coordinated by teacher and researcher Laurence De Cock.

A complete issue of 8 pages adapted from a folder published in the magazine with the contributions of the best specialists for teachers and children. A beautiful and rich idea served by high quality editorial and iconographic content.

Junior History

From our ancestors the Gauls to the history of the municipality

Did you know? The public, secular, compulsory school for girls and boys was set up by the Paris Commune even before Jules Ferry’s school in 1881-1882. This is what we learn in the latest issue of Junior History, which has just been released.

An issue dedicated to the special issue that the Revue has just published on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the Paris Commune. L’Histoire Juniors offers short texts written with care to adapt well to the age of readers. Each issue is richly illustrated and enriched with short frames to arouse the curiosity of aspiring historians.

Launched last September, the magazine L’Histoire Juniors currently offers nine issues for children aged 10 to 14. From the history of the witches to the Paris Commune, via Magellan, the Gauls or the episode of the Great Plague in Marseille.

Numbers to print or consult online

The History Juniors is completely free of charge and without advertising. You can download them freely in PDF format. Two layouts are proposed. The first one can be consulted on the screen. The second allows a copy to be printed to be folded in accordance with the pagination.

The lockdown has prompted many press headlines to propose special free numbers for young people. The history of Juniors seems to be a long-term one. So much the better.

A great initiative that produces small quality educational materials. We cross our fingers so that it lasts as long as possible.
