PhotoMath is an app for your mobile that automatically solves mathematical formulas from a simple photo.

Another absolutely bluffing smartphone app. I was talking right here a few days ago from MyScript Calculator which allows you to do math with your fingertips on the screen of your smartphone, PhotoMath in its genre is also amazing.

PhotoMath works in using the camera of your smartphone. It is enough to point and then photograph the mathematical formula that you want to solve.

Immediately and almost in real time, the application will scan the image and then solve the mathematical formula. Just amazing. Even more amazing, PhotoMath does not just show you the right result, the application will also and above all show you all the necessary steps which you have to go through to solve the equation. Take the test, it’s absolutely bluffing.

This possibility to see the different steps leading to the solution is an undeniable plus that allows the tool to be a real educational tool more than just a calculator. Students will be able to use PhotoMath to help them understand and learn mathematics. Parents will be able to use it to check their children’s homework.

PhotoMath does not yet recognise handwriting, it may come in a future version. For the time being, the application is limited to operations printed on a Mathematics book, for example.
