Mp3Cutter. Get an excerpt from a sound file

Mp3Cutter is a small online utility that will allow you toextract a passage from a sound file in Mp3 format.

I was here a few days ago. Vibby to edit and share passages of a video. Mp3Cutter does pretty much the same thing but with much less frills.

You have a recording of a conference, speech or song in Mp3 format and you want to keep only a short or long excerpt. Mp3Cutter is the tool you need in this case.

It is extremely simple to use and does not require any instructions for use.  On the homepage of the site you are prompted to upload the Mp3 file you want to edit. Once online, you will be able to listen to it thanks to a very simple reader that will also give you indications of duration.

Mp3Cutter then offers to insert two mounting points into your sound. The first is the starting point of your excerpt, the second the end point. You can also select an area by dragging your mouse.

Mp3Cutter allows you to listen in a loop to the extract you have chosen to possibly further refine the entry and exit point. By the way, the tool tells you how long your extract will last. Once you are satisfied with the result, all you have to do is click on the ‘cut Mp3’ button and the extract will be downloaded to your computer as soon as possible. Practical.

Mp3Cutter does not store the sound you uploaded or the extract you then saved. The site is free with a little advertising. It can be used without prior registration.
