Webroom is a free online platform that allows create a virtual classroom very easily and communicate remotely with one or more students.

Very easy to use, without having to install anything, Webroom provides you with all the tools you need to offer a course, a presentation, a live and video demonstration to a group of students. After a quick registration on the site you will be able to create your virtual class with one click. You will then be able to invite participants by providing them with a unique URL provided by the service.
Webroom uses your computer's micro and webcam to establish a sound and video connection and personalise the exchange with the students They also appear on the screen. The interface of your virtual room is organised around workspaces in the centre of the screen where you can view and share Google files or links and even videos from YouTube, which you can then watch together. View and comment on them orally or through an online chat system.

You also have access to a Shared Virtual Whiteboard on which you can write and draw with the end of the mouse. Another interesting feature, although it is difficult to cite them all here, is the possibility to share your screen with the participants in your course.
All this works rather well especially if the number of participants remains reasonable. Webroom is ideal for private lessons or support for a small group of students. Note that it also offers some useful functions to schedule your sessions in advance and invite participants.

Webroom offers quality broadcasts even if they also depend on the quality of your connection to the net. The service needs a Chrome or Firefox browser to work well. A mobile version for Android already exists, the one for iOs is being developed.
Best for last, WebRoom is completely free. The creators also offer Iteach World, another service quite comparable, but paying this time that allows it to offer and sell courses online through a whole series of additional features.
