National Archaeology Days are a unique opportunity for discover the behind-the-scenes of heritage and archaeological research. This year they will take place on June 15, 16 and 17. Write it down on your tablets.
The National Archaeology Days are Masterfully piloted by Inrap For the occasion, it offers a special site dedicated to the event to be found in the hundreds of events and operations organised across the country for these three days of celebration.
As with their own website, Inrap offers a particularly effective showcase to help you dig into the program of this ninth edition and discover an event near you.
The site of the days offers thus a fast and powerful search engine with which you will be able to search the program. The entries are numerous and you can cross them to refine the results if necessary. You can search by keyword, by city, by region, by department, by type of ultra-practical … activity.
For example, you can search for all events aimed at a school audience in the Nord Pas de Calais … Bonnes excavations region. If you find nuggets in the programme that interest you, the site offers a function that will allow you to protect them.
This search engine is not too much the programme is rich and varied with a whole section for teachers and schoolchildren. All those involved in archaeology are working together to help as many people as possible discover the richness of the discipline and its background. In passing, we can see the importance of this sector dedicated to studying our past and our heritage. Sector to be preserved and supported.
On the occasion of these national days, museums and archaeological sites, laboratories, archives, research organisations, universities, associations, local authorities and libraries organise original and family activities that contribute to the spread of archaeology.
