Storyweaver is an amazing platform that offers thousands of stories for children to read online or download in many languages. All these books are available under free creative commons license. The idea of the creators, the Indian publisher Pratham Books, is to give every child in the world access to these stories.

Storyweaver can be an excellent support for educational activities in French class but also in language class. The platform offers several options that allow readers to become actors of this huge library.
Thousands of albums for children to read online
On computer or tablet, Storyweaver offers many illustrated albums for children. An endless collection of open source stories for children. Stories that tickle the imagination and inspire curiosity. Stories that explore various concepts in mathematics, science, environment, history and much more. Stories for the first readers, but also for the most advanced.
Stories can be read online or you can save them in some kind of personal library for offline reading. You can also download them in PDF format in an easy-to-print format. You can also opt for an ePub format for eReaders. Many stories are available in English, but you will find almost a thousand of them in French.

Create or translate children's stories
Storyweaver is not satisfied with well-filled shelves. The platform offers its readers to become actors and produce their own stories. Storyweaver offers a built-in editor that will allow you to format your own book or album. The editor is very easy to handle. You have access to an online database of illustrations or you can also use your own images by uploading them to your space. Place them wherever you want on the page. Add dialogs or captions page after page. Once finished, all you have to do is download it. You can also propose it for publication so that it can be added to the site library.
Another activity offered by Storyweaver: translation. A good idea to work in languages. You can take an album from the library and start translating. The built-in editor will allow you to replace the original text with your translation. Nice to meet you.
Storyweaver is free to use and does not burden itself with advertising.
