Fotopedia Reporter is an online tool and an iPad application that allows create, share and view photo slideshows.

If you like travel photography you will love this site that offers hundreds of small photo reports taken around the world on very varied topics. Until a very short time ago, the site was dedicated to images of nature.  Photo reports with an incredible amount of beautiful images.

The reports take the form of a slideshow. Each mage can be captioned, moving from one image to another by clicking on the screen or using the arrows on the keyboard of his computer. So far, Fotopedia has taken on a new dimension as a dissemination platform. allowing everyone to create and spread their own stories.

After a quick registration to the service, you will be able to start Create and edit your first photo report. You will need six images per month to do this and one image for the cover. You will be able to upload your photos, add captions for each of them, locate them on a map or even link it to a Wikipedia article depending on where the image was taken or its subject.

Your small (or large) slideshows will join all the others present on the site. Each user can ‘like’ a photo report, add it to their account or share it via email or social media. You will be able to follow other users and you will be followed if you publish interesting topics.

In the class 

Fotopedia Reporter a good CTBT tool to allow a group of students or a student on their own to easily work on editing a story in pictures. Choose photos, define and write captions, find interactive add-ons in Wikipedia …. They will then be able to spread it easily, see insert the fruit of their work on a site or blog.
The app for iPad is just beautiful.

  1. Fotopedia has just announced the shutdown of its regrettable new … service because the idea of creating a global photographic background was really attractive. Unfortunately, a good idea without an economic model rarely leads to a success story.

    If we want to offer a sustainable service, it is important to know where …'s profitability springs are going to be or in any case to have considered them.
