Silence, it turns, action! Filming is underway all over France. Thousands of young people supervised by their teachers are engaged in the creation of a 3-minute video clip dedicated to a profession for the competition “ I film the job I like”.

Every year for the past 14 years, this competition has provided students, apprentices and their teachers with a unique opportunity to connect digital skills, creative thinking and career guidance.
Developing young people's digital skills by making them actors in their careers
Last year, more than 88 000 young people and 11 000 teachers took part in the competition, involving more than 2 340 schools. In the end, Nearly 2000 films were made and 562 films selected. A nice success. It is true that the idea has something to seduce and motivate young people.
During class hours, students must create a 3-minute video about their “dream” job. They will discover with their teachers the professional world while shaping their professional career and developing their digital skills.
A jury of prestigious professionals, whose president this year is Jean Reno, then has the heavy task of selecting the best films and awarding numerous prizes (the claps) during a big evening at the Grand Rex cinema in Paris on 27 May (with or …sans public according to health restrictions).

Develop digital skills and creativity
From the writing of the screenplay to the shooting and editing of the film, it is necessary to carry out a reporting work using digital skills and tools. Here, no copy and paste conceivable. In a group, you have to invent everything and make your creative spirit play. Write a screenplay, investigate, understand, reformulate, synthesize, plan, film, edit, communicate around the project, a complete experience humanly and pedagogically very rich.
Digital creation to facilitate bridges between school and the world of work
By making a video about a , profession, the young people themselves will gradually acquire skills to question and understand the professions. Digital tools of creation find in passing all their meaning and one of their utilities. Learning how to make a media outlet yourself and how to set it up to disseminate information is rewarding for young people. It allows them to acquire digital baggage that can be used in many professional situations as well as a skill to be valued in a CV.
