My data and me. Social networks and e-reputation

My Data and Me is an information site that aims to make you aware of the importance of your digital identity and in particular through social networks.

A MAIF Initiative who has the merit of proposing an interactive and playful online tool to address e-reputation issues. The militant insurer’s approach is not, as can sometimes be seen, to fight, in a battle lost in advance, the use of networks, but rather to accompany their uses.

Better understand the importance of data protection to take control of your digital image. 

The site My Data and Me was built in collaboration with specialists from the Reputation Squad agency. It will be useful to teachers and educators, students from the end of middle school and during the high school years.

My Data and Me proposes an online test, nicely carried out, who will analyse your use of social networks Twitter and/or Facebook. Through a series of interactive questions based on your posts on one or other of the social networks, the site will put you in front of your own uses of these networks.

Are you aware of what you are publishing? Do you have a clear idea of the scope of each of your posts? do you have what others say about you? The assessment is done in a few minutes. You then get a score out of ten that you will be able to compare to other users by age, gender or activity.

In addition to this score, My data and me provides any a series of statistics that will inform your use of social networks. The site also recommends pedagogical factsheets on different aspects of your uses to allow you to go further.

My Data and Me manages to find the right tone, neither guilty nor too offbeat, to address his e-reputation topics They are central to media and information literacy and … to the digital citizen.

It goes without saying, but it goes better by saying it, the site was designed with a concern for privacy, the platform does not retain any personal data beyond the duration of the test.
