Lingvist is a Online platform for learning foreign languages. A tool that aims to help you or your students learn a foreign language faster.

Lingvist is even committed to teaching you a lague in 200 hours. Probably a somewhat exaggerated promise. It is true, however, for having tested it, that the AI-based tool knows how to adapt to the level of each and this will allow you to make rapid progress.
Lingvist’s main asset is its ability to automatically adapt to the learner’s age, skills and level. The tool quickly gets to know you in order to offer you suitable exercises that are neither too hard nor too easy and thus avoid wasting your time.
Lingvist Analysis what you easily remember and what you tend to forget. With a smart algorithm that tracks your progress, the platform will help you continuously improve.
Once registered on the site, Lingvist is divided into three types of activities.
A system of hole cards to learn and memorize vocabulary. Lingvist advises you to see 150 cards per day. Based on a kind of playful quiz, the activity is punctuated by comments and encouragement to keep you motivated.

Texts to read. The tool advises you to read at least one text per day. The idea is to see the words in their context, to see the words in different sentences to master them and to understand the style and syntax of the language studied.

Texts to listen to. Again, Lingvist encourages you to train your ear. You have to train your comprehension from the beginning – try to understand the words, the snippets of conversation, listen to how the language is naturally spoken.
A table of statistics will allow you at any time to follow your progress on a daily basis. new words learned, time spent, words to revise, etc.
In the end, Lingvist is really interesting for yourself or to put it in the hands of your students. It makes it possible to see very concretely the progress made by this type of tool. It will never replace a pedagogical face-to-face and immersion in the country of the language studied, but it can accompany and be beneficial in a learning phase.
Lingvist is under development and currently only allows you to study English from French. Other languages should follow quickly. Another good news, the tool is currently completely free of charge. It works on your computer, but also on tablet. The tool also offers dedicated versions for smartphones on iOS and Android.
