Quizzoodle is an online tool that will allow you to survey your audience in real time and then get and display the results on the screen. This is not the first tool of its kind, but Quizzoodle has the great advantage of working rather well and being completely free.
You don’t even need to register, if you don’t want to, to use this small utility that has the great advantage of involving listeners in a course or presentation using their computer, tablet or smartphone.
Quizzoodle allows you to prepare quizzes or surveys in advance and simply propose them during your presentation to your students or listeners. They have limited time to respond. You can view the results and if you want to display them on the screen. Ideal for relaunching your audience's attention or checking that a point in your course has been understood.
The interface is no frills. The graphics do not shine by its originality, but on the other hand the grip is quite simple. The author even provided a tutorial to get started with great clarity.
You prepare your questions, quizzes or surveys in advance. In the case of quizzes, you will need to indicate the possible answers as well as the correct answer. For surveys, all you have to do is indicate the possible options. All you have to do is organise the order of the quizzes or surveys and validate. Immediately the platform will provide you with unique links to edit later or delete your questions. You will also receive a unique URL link for your first session that you will need to provide to your students.
Quizzoodle did it right, they will be able to follow the link to log in, but they will also be able to enter a session code if they wish to go to the homepage of the site. Alternatively, they can also use a specific QR code to log in to the session.
From your dashboard, you will then be able to launch quizzes or surveys when the time comes. The time given to listeners to respond is 30 seconds by default, but you can change that time. Once everyone has replied or the deadline to reply has passed, you will be able to see and display the result as a diagram.
Note that Quizzoodle makes it easy to integrate your questions directly into a PDF.
We owe Quizzoodle to Julien Allali, a teacher at the CNRS/University of Bordeaux computer science research laboratory. I would like to thank him and Stéphane G, who pointed this out to me.
Quizzodle is a free tool.
