Your privacy is secret…A game to learn best practices on the internet

Last updated on 25 November 2024

Your private life is secret … is a salutary initiative of the CNIL, the Commission Nationale Informatique et Libertés. These are:an online game in the form of a quiz that allows to test the knowledge of college students on the theme of respect for online privacy. To put in all hands.

Unbelievable

The game takes the form of a ‘Les Incollables’ fan. It is not new, it was produced last year on the occasion of the previous season in partnership with the Play Bac Special Editions. It had been distributed in college CDIs, but it was and is still online.

A dozen colored cards containing three to four questions each make it possible to make a quick tour of the problems posed by the web and social networks. Each response is immediately corrected. Errors are pointed out and accompanied by good advice.

The basic idea is of course to instil the best practices to adopt on the Internet, the right reflexes and learn how to better protect your privacy.

unmatchable

Once the online questionnaire is completed, a score out of 20 is awarded to the player, inviting him/her to continue to learn about his/her rights and duties and to learn how to become a digital citizen.

The game is well done with a tone well suited to an audience of young teenagers. The game offers a simple mode and a timed mode to introduce an additional playful element.

A good idea to put in all hands … including those of teachers who can also test their knowledge on the subject.

I used it as part of a responsible internet challenge cycle 3 (CM2-6th) and it was perfectly suited!
