The French Development Agency (AFD) is a public institution that supports sustainable development projects around the world.

It plays an important role in the implementation of French policy on development and international solidarity. Its tasks range from improving living conditions to promoting sustainable and fair economies and combating climate change.

In France, AFD’s mission is also to raise young people’s awareness of major global issues and international solidarity.

To this end, AFD is developing educational tools and resources in partnership with the Ministry of National Education and Youth.

Adopted in 2015 by all the Member States of the United Nations, the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) aim to cover all the challenges of sustainable development, taken in the broad sense and therefore cover environmental, economic and social themes (climate, biodiversity, energy, water, poverty, gender equality, economic prosperity, peace, education).

To better understand these 17 objectives, AFD has designed for all teachers a quiz with 170 questions/answers on the SDGs (10 per SDG).

Also at your disposal to accompany this tool, a large poster or nice postcards. Each includes a quiz question to better understand each of the SDGs.
