The Good Profs is a school support site built around video lessons, interactive exercises and individualised follow-up of pupils.

Educational support tools and services are multiplying. From the most complete like MaxiCours to the most original like the formidable Kartable we've already talked about here, the web is surfing the wave of school support and parental anxiety.

Les Bons Profs is coming to this online school support niche in focusing on the programs of the last year of middle school and especially on the classes of the high school : Second, first and final. The site offers a range of video courses and well-informed exercises by aggregated or certified teachers. Here there is no multimedia hubbub and animations in all directions. Each video of a variable duration shows the teacher in front of his blackboard explaining a lesson or a particular point of a lesson. The elements to remember appear in a short synthetic text under each video.

This school support site also offers all a series of exercises in support of the main concepts which were presented in video. By registering for free on the site, you then have access to a work history and a system of points and badges that support the student’s motivation.

The result is serious. The video courses are of high quality and are cleverly divided between fundamental notions and method courses. The exercises for their part propose progressive levels of difficulty with aids in case of blockage and complete corrections.

All this part of the school support site is completely free and freely searchable without limits. Les Bons Profs then offers a personalised additional support system for which it pays. Live help via chat at homework time from 5.30 p.m. to 7.30 p.m. every day and on Saturday morning. Students can also ask their questions by email, the site promises an answer within 24 hours. Good teachers also offer a premium version with a system for sending exercises that are then corrected by teachers. This works on a subscription system that starts at around €20 per month.

I let you discover the service, undoubtedly of good quality, which will however win to expand the shelves of the different materials by level. If the programs of terminale are well covered in most subjects, in second you will find only the program of mathematics.

Finally, a little mystery remains to be solved: it is the name of the site, why the ‘good’ teachers? But perhaps there will be an explanation from one of the site’s facilitators in the 🙂 comments.
