ReMarkable is a mobile application designed for teachers to enable them to manage and correct copies of their students online.
ReMarkable is a great tool to get rid of the piles of copies you spend your time transporting from one place to another. It makes it possible to aim for the dematerialization of copies and absolute paper zero. All in mobility. ReMarkable is indeed an application designed for the iPad. The idea is smart and attractive.
ReMarkable is a service designed by teachers for teachers. After a quick registration, the service provides you a kind of virtual locker linked to a unique email address. An email address that your students will be able to use to send you their copies and homework. As soon as a copy is ‘swiped’ into your locker, it appears in your personal online space on your iPad.
The application also allows you to connect to the main online storage sites such as Box, DropBox or Drive.
You will then be able to classify the copies in folders, by class for example or by subject, and then consult them quietly on your tablet. Better yet, ReMarkable allows you to annotate and correct these copies through a particularly efficient editor integrated into the tool. It makes it possible to highlight passages, paste annotations into them and even quickly surround an element with the fingertip.
Once your correction is complete, all you have to do is return the copy with one click to the student concerned. The latter will receive it by email in PDF format and will be able to consult all your remarks and annotations.
The application is still in development and is regularly updated to improve ergonomics and functionality. It is free and frankly remarkable. Yes ReMarkable is remarkable, it prefigures what could be the management and correction of your students’ copies tomorrow and even today.
