Plickers. Survey your students without a computer

Last updated on 3 May 2020

Plickers is a tool that makes it possible to survey a class or group of learners without having computers, tablets or smartphones.

Plickers is a great idea because the service adapts to the reality on the ground. We have presented here several online tools which make it possible to probe an audience in real time. Formidable on paper, all these services face an unstoppable pitfall. For this to work, all learners must be equipped with an IT device.

With Plickers only the teacher must be equipped. He needs a smartphone that runs on iOs or Android or a tablet. Students also have reusable paper sheets to answer the speaker’s questions.

Plickers

The use is simple. The teacher will first create an account on the Plickers website and then add a class (or more). He will also assign a card number to each of his students.

The site offers card kits to print. These cards of a classic A4 format will allow students to vote and answer questions asked by the teacher. Each card has a unique visual code that will be detected by the teacher’s app and camera. Because that is how it works. The teacher asks a question prepared in advance and the students will answer by raising their personal card in front of them. A photo to collect the answers and the trick is played. Malin.

Plickers Response

The app will detect all cards and so record who responded and who responded what. The answer varies depending on the direction in which the learner holds their card.

Clever and practical. Once your photo is made, Plickers will immediately analyze all the results and display a graph that will allow you to see general trends and individual responses. You can thus, if you wish, project them on the screen to relaunch a presentation or return to a particular point.

Plickers on the way save all individual results and keep them in memory. It will also memorize the questions that you will prepare before your intervention. These will also be reusable in several classes. You'll load them onto your mobile before your class.

On the Plickers website you will find the link to download the app and PDFs to print the answer maps yourself. The best for the end here everything is free. A real crush.
