The written press remains a reference to take a step back on the flow of news It is constantly being poured out of social networks and news channels. The written press has this healthy lag time that allows you to take a step back.

There are many online resources for using the press in the classroom. Here are three of them that make it possible to:Broaden the vision of an event to the entire international press.

NewsPaper Map.

NewsPaper Map

It is an interactive map of the world press. A map of the international press that I presented to you right here some time ago. You can zoom in and move from one continent to another, from one country to another. Each point represents a newspaper or magazine. By clicking on it, you access a link that leads to the newspaper's website. Practical, Newspaper Map allows you to choose French from a list of available languages. Miracle of Google translate, the website of the newspaper will be displayed in the language of Molière. The translation is sometimes somewhat astonishing but sufficient to understand an article.

Newseum Today’s Front Pages.

Newseum

A beautiful resource presented on my Site Tools of the day before some time ago. Offered by the Washington Press Museum, Newseum offers Every day some of the world's daily press. Nearly 800 titles from five continents are present. It is accessed by list, by thumbnail, by card or via an internal search engine. By clicking on the front page of a newspaper, you can access the facsimile of the first page and links to print it, download it in PDF format or go to the media website. That's great.

In the same vein, I would like to point out the site Kiosco net which takes up the concept of Newseum and offers the first pages of hundreds of newspapers around the world; the whole is classified by country. The site is up to date and really displays the News of the same day.

International mail.

International mail

The website of the weekly of the group The World is Perhaps the most relevant resource on this small list. International mail offers on its website a directory of world press titles which it is accustomed to include in its weekly press review. The directory is not intended to be exhaustive, but each title is presented in detail and commented on, making it possible to better qualify the source. The sheet of each publication is enriched with a link to the media site. The Courrier International directory is searched by country.
