How can we explain climate problems to children and adolescents? On the occasion of COP21, which will be held in France from 30 November to 11 December, the topic will be omnipresent in the news. The stakes are high. The objective of COP21 is to find a new international climate agreement, to keep global warming below 2°C.
The press, and more particularly the young press publishes in this month of December many files and special issues devoted to our planet threatened more than ever by human activity. In addition, it offers online resources that can be useful for working with students. Here are four online resources to explain climate to youth.
Table of Contents
Milan Presse offers a special portal entitled "Children for Climate".
An excellent job of the Milan teams who put available to teachers and facilitators educational tools to address the issue of global warming with young people. How can we reduce our waste? How to save water … The site offers comprehensive fact sheets for classroom instructional sequences and a series of short animated films to introduce the discussion. The site also offers an open competition that draws on the imagination of young people. To participate, we must answer this question: what are the easy solutions to put in place to limit the global warming of our planet?

Bayard Presse offers downloadable climate factsheets from its magazines.
How does the climate work? What will happen if nothing happens? Why is it said that the earth is warming? Factsheets in PDF format allow you to answer simple and direct questions. They are all grouped into a single page and sorted by age.

Libération proposes a special issue of P’tit Libé.
The daily newspaper Libération offers a new issue of its excellent P’tit Libé, which tackles the difficult task of simply explaining major current affairs to the youngest. Bet successful again with this number 2. Greenhouse effect, climate change, COP21 are dissected in particularly neat short articles. A resources section completes the file with reading tips.
