Text2voice is one of the online converters forobtain an automatic audio transcript of any written text. This new service has several advantages. The first of these is to be completely free. The speech recognition of a written text has made real progress in recent years. Text2voice is a good example. This free service allows you to convert text into high-quality speech in about 20 languages and 10 different dialects. You can convert up to 1000 characters into a single audio file.

The service uses machine learning algorithms to learn and adapt from voice samples and create the most natural voice possible. Algorithms are constantly updated and improved over time. Algorithms are optimized to read sentences in a single stream. It is not yet perfect, but the result is sometimes bluffing. It will be even more so if you work the written text by adding commas and points to get natural breaks. You can also choose from different effects of the voice: breathing, whispered voice or adjust the speed of the voice.

Convert text to audio in just a few clicks

The use is very simple. Copy and paste on the homepage of the website the text for which you wish to obtain the audio transcript. Then choose the language of the text and then the virtual reader. For the French you have the choice between Céline, Léa or Mathieu. You can still choose the diction speed in the "Additional voice settings" preferences. One click and let’s go. Your computer will read the text out loud. You can then, if you wish, download an audio file in MP3 format. 

Text2voice is free for short texts. To translate a whole book you will have to go through the paid subscription box.
