Let us welcome here the arrival of a new magazine press title for teenagers aged 10 to 15: Geek Junior Le Mag.
This is good news for at least two good reasons. On the one hand, because new press titles for young people have been quite rare for some time. On the other hand, because Geek Junior responds to a need that has hitherto been little covered by the youth magazine press: digital education. After a successful crowdfunding operation, Number one just came out and he's keeping all his promises.

A paper extension of the Geek Junior site
The team behind this press project knows what it is talking about and has been running it for almost five years. the Geek Junior website, the webmag of connected teens. A site that quickly became a highly recommendable reference for an audience of teenagers, but also for their parents. News, tests, tutorials and videos … Geek Junior focuses on mobile applications, video games and educational solutions to help young people in their school work.
My colleague Christophe Conquis at the origin of this project did not want to stop in such a good way and therefore launched a monthly paper magazine, a natural extension of the site.
It is aimed at this generation of young teenagers who have fallen into digital from the cradle and who show a digital agility that can sometimes be disconcerting. Geek junior Le Mag’s ambition is to inform and make them understand the tools that they are perfectly familiar with, but whose operation and associated risks are often opaque to them. A useful decryption that should also be of interest to many adults, both parents and teachers.
The first issue of Geek Junior Le Mag has just been published
The magazine offers a beautiful dynamic and modern model that should appeal to the target audience. Thirty-two pages filled with information with short and longer texts to focus on a topic.

This new youth press magazine is divided into two main parts:
- First part, Generation geek with a multitude of small information and regular headings, the photo of the month, the corner of the books, the Geek… question
- The second part of the magazine is devoted to "tutos" that young people love and that will allow them to become actors in their digital practices. In summary of this first issue: 5 tips to start with Scratch, how to build a robot or …how to set up Instagram to limit online harassment. Between these two large parts of the newspaper, Geek Junior slipped a detachable parent notebook 😉
Geek Junior Le Mag magazine is 32 pages long. It is broadcast by subscription. It has its place in classrooms at school or college as well as in CDIs and libraries with the references of the Youth Press.
Developing the digital culture of 10-15 year olds with a practical approach to tools and the necessary hindsight to measure the benefits, but also the risks, Geek Junior Le Mag works in the public interest. A great press adventure begins …

Good morning. I am a teacher-documentalist and wish to subscribe our college to the paper magazine Geek junior. Does the paper version really exist?
I would like to consult a subscription number, but this magazine cannot be found in the press offices. Can you please send me a number?
Thank you for your answer.
