Diplomeo. Training Search Engine

Last updated on 12 May 2026

Diplomeo is one of the main search engines for training in France. It lists more than 40 000 training courses targeting higher education students as well as retraining employees.

The idea behind Diplomeo, born in 2012, was to propose a tool that brings together all information about higher education in one place. A good idea. There are thousands of pre-schools, private schools, training centres and courses, and it is often very difficult to find your way around them.

The department has therefore embarked on the difficult task of methodically identifying everything. A colossal job, the figures speak for themselves:

Pub
  • More than 40 200 trainings
  • more than 6 450 establishments
  • More than 1,200 cities
  • More than 200 pathways

But the real added value of Diplomeo, highlighted by its creators, is the guidance function. For this purpose, they have developed a rather clever algorithm that makes it possible to analyse the information provided by the visitor in order to offer him a list of training courses that correspond to a level of training, an area of interest or a region. A software to replace real guidance counsellors, they will appreciate. That said, for having tested it, Diplomeo, without replacing them, can be a good complementary tool to help students navigate it.

From the search results offered by Diplomeo, you will then be able to compare and select up to 5 courses. You will be able to consult the training sheets and those of the institutions and then talk or exchange with school officials.

The site also offers very complete thematic files dedicated to the different professions and sectors that can be valuable sources of information. Diplomeo is free and plans after France to expand internationally. In the end, I appreciated the richness of the search engine, the guidance tool and the thematic files. I liked less the obligation to identify in order to obtain comparisons and results. Nor does the tool offer any criteria for assessing the quality of training or schools. Too bad. You are here rather in a kind of gigantic virtual student fair that would bring together all the training available in France presented by the schools that provide them. But that is not bad in itself.
