Animaps is a rather old tool that allows to create animated or interactive maps online. The service generates maps in which you will be able to draw movements or routes to dynamically illustrate a course.

Animaps offers a somewhat old-fashioned interface but don't rely on appearances, the potential of the tool is huge and can be adapted to many situations.
Maps created with Animaps use Google Maps mapping. Animaps will simply enrich it with multimedia features. For example, you will be able to insert images or documents to make them more dynamic.
Taking control of Animaps requires a learning time, especially since the site is in English. Video tutorials are offered to accompany you but you will need to be patient. It is worth it, once the Animaps functions are well mastered, the tool will be able to provide you with great services.
Animaps is based on a kind of timeline that will show the evolution of a point or points of simultaneous shape on a background map. You can insert mobile markers. You can show the evolution of a geographical area with a changing size. You can of course also show a route from one point to another with illustrations that will appear as the small icon symbolising the route passes.

Once your card is complete, Animaps will provide you with a unique link to share it by email or on social networks. You can also retrieve a code to insert it on a website or blog.
The reader will be able to access the map in the form of a kind of video. With one click it will trigger the animation. He can pause it, he can also speed up or slow down the animation.
Animaps is free and ad-free. Oh, owl. Don’t forget to send me your cards if you use the tool.

Hello,
Thank you for the address! I created a map to materialise the journey of a mascot (as part of a European project).
