Clapotee it is the name of a series of educational podcasts to listen to and have listened to by your 2 studentsNDE and 1era who must prepare for the anticipated French language tests. A remarkable teacher site proposed by Cécile Cathelin professor of letters in a high school in Tours.
Teachers have invested for a while already YouTube to offer Educational Video Channels. They groped, experimented, sometimes wiped the plasters to master the language and good recipes. We are witnessing the same movement for the podcast. This new format is on the rise. It is true that it lends itself particularly well to the transmission of knowledge.
Cécile Cathelin is a pioneer in podcasts. But make no mistake about it, its achievements have nothing to envy to the professional productions that can be found on major platforms.
Clapotee a platform of educational podcasts in addition to the courses
Clapotee offers no less than 60 episodes of ten to twenty minutes on average focusing on , themes, historical-literary contexts, the essential points of works in French for second and first-graders. It also talks about methodology for both writing and speaking, as well as grammar.
Enriched educational podcasts
The podcast format has many advantages. The student can listen to it whenever he wants on his computer, but especially where he wants thanks to his sacrosanct smartphone. Ideal to complete the courses taken in person.
But Cécile Cathelin goes even further by offering visual summaries for each podcast to help students memorise the most important elements. A hell of a job! But the result is really interesting. You can either listen to the podcast by having the summary sheet in front of you, or consult it after listening to check that everything is understood.
“Beyond my classes, my goal is to allow any student anywhere to work in mobile learning mode to complete their face-to-face course. I also often say that my podcasts are augmented podcasts, because each time I add a visual, an infographic to complete the podcast either during listening or afterwards as visual summaries.” Cecile Cathelin.
Clapotee, remember that name. Cécile has big plans for her educational blogging platform. Among them, with colleagues, increase podcasts abeyond French in other subjects. Spanish, maths, physics-chemistry and history are on the 2021 program.
Clapotee is completely free. It is hosted on the Podcastics platform.
