Update December 2016 – The site no longer exists.
Zaption is a tool that makes it possible to Create interactive videos very easily.
Zaption is a great tool to prevent your students from being just passive viewers of an educational video. With Zaption you will integrate interactivity into your videos and increase their pedagogical interest tenfold.
Zaption allows you to create an interactive video from videos on Youtube or Viméo or from your own videos. You can use a video or mount several end to end thanks to the timeline from Zapline which is very easy to take in hand. Everything here is done by dragging down with the end of the mouse.
Once your video has been created, all you have to do is insert your interactive elements. You can insert images, texts, questions and other quizzes. Multimedia elements that will enrich the original video by relaunching the interest of the learner, asking him to think about this or that point or by offering quizzes and games. Your additions will appear as dots in the video timeline. All you have to do is publish. Zaption will provide you with a unique url to share your video.
Zaption also offers the teacher a comprehensive scoreboard that will allow it to monitor spectator engagement and the understanding This or that point. Typically, for example, you can use this dashboard to assess the level of satisfaction of a group of learners.
Zaption also offers on its website a library of interactive videos created by its users It will be an excellent source of inspiration but also an interesting resource for sharing.
Zaption is a real success. This tool offers a particularly well thought-out video editing system. The interactive elements that can be integrated are varied and optimized so as not to break the thread of playing the video too abruptly. The reporting system for each video is a model of its kind.

Excellent find!
I am a trainer myself and have a close connection to the video format since I am motion designer …
I have to test this promising tool at all costs!
By the way, it has nothing to do with it, but I am the owner of an ambitious project for a content curation platform in our niche businesses, and I would like to involve as many people as possible in our community of graphic designers, designers and online developers in different phases of the project: survey, word-of-mouth relay of a crowdfunding campaign, beta-test …
Would you be interested and if so, could we contact us?

Hello,
Zaption is indeed a very good tool to allow (force) students to be more attentive in front of a pedagogical video.
The other advantage is to do a job directly on the Zaption website without the need to download a video and therefore without taking memory from your tablet.
However, it seems that this app, which exists for iPad tablets, is not in the Apple catalog for Macbooks.
Do you know of such an app for Macbooks?
Thank you in advance.
