Bold.io is another ultra simple tool for publish a text on the web anonymously. It is a kind of blank page for you to publish a short or long article and then share it easily.
This type of service, which respects the confidentiality of the author and facilitates online publication, is decidedly fashionable. I was talking here as recently as last week about Write.as. Bold.io offers pretty much the same functions but somewhat improves the experience with a more elaborate text editor.
Bold.io follows the same principle as its competitor, you do not need to register to start writing, nor do you need to do so to publish your document. That said, if you wish, you can log in via a Twitter account and sign your publication.
When you go to the site, you arrive on a blank sheet. You are immediately asked to give it a title and start writing.
Bold.io does better than most of its competitors thanks to A minimalist word processor that avoids distraction but offers simple formatting options to enrich the content of your post. Each time you start a new paragraph, a small arrow opens a context menu.
Among these available options, the possibility to insert a URL. Bold.io will look for a small preview thumbnail. Another interesting option, you can insert an image from your computer. You can even do this by simply dragging and dropping.
More anecdotal but rather fun to use, you can click on the small headphones at the bottom left of the screen launch a sound ambience. You can choose between six atmospheres: Rain and wind, the traditional fireplace, the forest or "Castle Black" that I let you discover !! or a Parisian café …
Once you have finished your document, you will be able to publish it with a single click. Bold.io will immediately provide you with a unique URL of your article that you can share with the whole earth, bottle to sea way.
More original, the platform offers the possibility to retrieve a unique private URL to allow you to revisit the article and edit it whenever you want. You can also download your text to your computer.
