Descriptive is an amazing online tool that allows transcribing audio or video files into text with incredible ease. But Descript does not stop there. It also allows you to edit your audio and video files in an original and incredibly simple way.
Descript is still a good example of the progress made by digital tools to facilitate tasks that until a very short time ago could require long hours of work. Descript looks like another Online Transcription Tool presented here, but with some original options as a bonus.
Transcribe an audio file in minutes
Descript uses state-of-the-art technology to transcribe an interview or conference and beyond any file with sound. The tool recognises several languages, including French, and offers highly accurate results. It is up to you to correct by rereading the patouilles that would have slipped into the text.
For business purposes, you can also request a manual transcription of your file via the software interface. Your text is delivered 24 hours later. This service is of course paid for. Count around EUR 1 per minute.
Edit your sound or video as with a word processor
This is the most spectacular function of Descript. The tool we saw helps you to transcribing audio and video files. It will also allow you to edit or edit the same videos by editing the text of the transcript.
Do you cut a sentence in the text? It will disappear immediately from the sound or video. A word, a hesitation? Cut it off. Descript takes care of editing the video. Magical.
