Premiere Pro. Edit your videos like a pro

Last updated on 12 May 2026

Premiere Pro is a professional video editing software offered by the Adobe editor. It makes it possible to make your videos and those made by your students real "works" ready to be broadcast on small, as on large screen.

Premiere Pro is one of the reference video editing software. Whether you are a beginner or an expert, it allows you to edit your videos like a pro. And this, whether you have a simple editing to make or downright a clip in virtual reality.

Video has become the dominant medium in new educational materials. It is also the central medium in the creative world.

With the video, teachers also have an excellent pretext to offer their students creative or thought-provoking activities. What better way to do media literacy and help your students decipher information than to offer them video reports like pros themselves.

With Premiere Pro, Spark, or After Effects, Adobe offers the necessary tools for all projects using video.

Video processing requires the use of serious tools

This is the case for Premiere Pro, whose reputation is well established, but which, like other tools of the same kind, benefits from an image of a powerful tool, but one that is difficult to learn.

This is a shame, because if it requires a small learning period, Adobe Premiere Pro then combines real ease of use. It provides professional quality editing tools for all video editing needs. Perfectly integrated with other Adobe products, Première Pro is a unique Swiss knife editing solution.

Professional Video Editor

A complete video editing tool for experts and beginners alike

Premiere Pro will allow you to import videos from a camera or phone, cut clips, add titles or adjust and improve sound. The interface remains very intuitive, with custom shortcuts for editing. Ergonomics is flawless. You will find yourself in well-known territory if you have already had the opportunity to use another Adobe creation tool such as LightRoom or Spark, for which you can edit the videos.

The software also offers a range of animation models or transitions to insert spectacular effects into your videos. No need to become a special effects expert for this.

Premiere Pro can support a wide variety of input files, from DivX to H.265. In the same way, it also allows you to export your creations in many different file types.

Video editing software in constant evolution

Premiere Pro is regularly updated. As part of the Creative Cloud formula, you have access to the latest versions as soon as they are published. For the latest version of Adobe Premiere Pro, there are many new features. Among them the possibility of automatically cropping a video. This allows you to create different formats in just a few clicks while keeping the action within the defined framework. Convenient to create projects for different types of platforms, social networks, YouTube, Instagram and other Facebook.

Also enjoys access to Adobe Stock Audio, which allows you to search for and use music tracks for your creations.

New automatic captioning functions in sight

Adobe has just announced a new, handy feature to make it easier to caption a video. The software incorporates a hyper-convenient function to automatically create a transcript from any video. Premier will then generate the subtitles directly on the timeline. Subtitles that you can customize by applying the style of your choice. The result is quite amazing. The generated subtitles correspond with real precision to the voices.

This function should be rapidly deployed on all versions of Adobe Premiere. You will have nothing to do. Like all software included in the CC, Adobe Premiere Pro updates are regular and automatic.

Ideas for using Premiere Pro in class?

Premiere Pro comes with Premiere Rush, an all-in-one application that works on all devices. Thus, you can, film and edit a video on your phone. You can then open a Premiere Rush file with Premiere Pro to rework it on computer.

There are many uses in the school setting. Once you get used to the tool, you will be able to unleash your imagination. Your students too.

For use in middle or high school or in technical education, offer your students to make the script of a short film and then make it, create a video clip or a television newscast through a film about the school until they can go on a school trip again …

The technical tools available in Premiere Pro allow you to add a green background to a scene or blur the face of a student or person in an entire video.

Premiere Pro is a great tool to give students a powerful lever to unleash their creative spirit and facilitate storytelling, testifies Laurent Catherine, responsible for video training atSchool of Information Professions in Paris.

A good example is the films made by some 20 students of the Emi for theAssociation of the Paralyzed of France of the Grand Paris. A dozen videos made with Première that look at disability with themes such as love, family, sport, inclusion …

Adobe Premiere Pro is a touch to any expert to put in all hands for creative and editing needs with video media.

    Hello,
Just a word about Adobe’s Premiere pro, you still have to have very recent and high-performance hardware, such as a good graphics card. Then almost daily updates lead to computers whose memory quickly becomes saturated. So if the tool is super indeed I remain on very mixed opinion anyway!
I've been following you for years, and I want to thank you for the work you're doing!
    Very cordially
