Tiki Toki. Professional tool to create chronological friezes

Last updated on 12 May 2026

Tiki Toki is an online tool that allows to create timelines or timeline friezes. It is arguably one of the best tools of its kind.

Let’s say right away the pro version of Tiki Toki is not available to all scholarships but the infographics created by this online tool are simply stunning. A few days ago I presented here three good tools to create chronological friezes here, Tiki Toki clearly plays in the top category.

Tiki Toki is for example the only tool to my knowledge that allows you to easily create timelines in 3D which you can then insert on a website or blog. The result is spectacular. Everything is configurable and in particular the zoom effects or the sense of scrolling the timeline.  You can also simply switch from a 3D view to a more classic 2D presentation with one click.

Tiki Toki makes it possible to integrate images, sounds or videos via YouTube or Vimeo into your friezes. The models offered are varied and elegant. The use of this real pro editing studio will require a learning phase but it is worth it. The site also offers good tutorials to help you.

Interesting, Tiki Toki allows the creation and editing of a chronological frieze in collaborative mode. In other words, you can invite your colleagues or students to edit and complete a frieze with you. The sharing functions are also flawless.
Tiki Toki provides you with a unique url for each of your timelines. All you have to do is share them by email or on social media. You can also thanks to a specific code the insert very easily into a site or blog.

I told you at the beginning, all this comes at a price. Tiki Toki offers a free but limited version. To take advantage of all the options offered by the tool, you will need to go through a paid account. The Edu version for the world of education offers a teacher account and 50 individual student accounts for around 100 Euros per year.

Tiki Toki is high on the list of tools to create chronological friezes which I published on the blog.
