The HUE HD Pro is a small camera mounted on a flexible arm that is quite long and very mobile and can be used in any position. It is equipped with very good quality optics (1920 x 1280px) supported by integrated LEDs that will illuminate if necessary what you want to film, photograph or scan. Practical LEDs are often the weak point of images made with a webcam. It also has a built-in microphone to record sound if necessary.
Its base is connected to your Mac, PC or ChromeBook computer via a simple USB jack. In other words, just plug it in and open it in a video application to make it work.
Uses in a class can be very numerous. The HUE HD Pro comes with software HUE Intuition very simple to take in hand and use that will accompany all uses. If your computer is connected to a video projector, you can use the HUE HD Pro as viewer for projecting microscope way an insect or simply a document.

I don't think it's fair to say that this camera works as a plug-in. It is not recognised on our computers and we have to go through VLC to be able to use it. In addition to the slightly heavy access, a latency of 2 seconds between the image and the projection makes the use sometimes difficult.
These problems may come from our old computers.
The projection software offered with the camera is single-station licensed which is not suitable for us.
Hello, does the latency change when you plug the camera directly, without the base? For the HUE Intuition software, it can be reinstalled when you change the computer. I purchased this camera for my class. However, I cannot get the full screen as shown above with the image of the caterpillar. I always have the toolbar at the top and on the side. Is it possible to make it disappear?

Beware of this enticing offer: my colleague has just ordered it on my advice, following this article by Mr Navamuel. It was indeed cheaper on Hue’s website than on Amazon, the cover was offered, BUT it was charged €23 in customs duties + €8 in application fees (€2 if it pays them online)…
