Postclass is an online tool that allows you to create a space in the cloud in which to communicate and exchange simply with your students.
A service that is still in development but is already fully functional. The basic idea is simple: to create a collaborative place in which to exchange and communicate with a group of students or a group of teachers. It can also be a student-only space.

Postclass is very easy to handle and use. The service takes the form of an application to download to your computer, tablet or smartphone. Good news, all platforms are supported. You can choose between a Windows or Mac, Android or iOS version.
After a quick registration, you will be able to create your class or group. An online space in which members will be able to exchange and discuss via chat. They will also be able to upload and exchange files. As a private space, your class data remains accessible at any time and from any device connected to the Internet.

The interface is clear. Three tabs are proposed, the first is the general thread, the second groups the shared documents, the third the members of the class or group. It is also from this last tab that you can invite other participants to join the group. You can create as many classes or groups as you want.

Postclass allows you to create and install a kind of small social network for exchanges and controlled communication. The tool does not offer anything exceptional and large operators like Google offer similar services, but PostClass has the advantage of offering a simple to understand and use interface that is compatible with all fixed or mobile devices. The tool also ensures that your data will remain private. They are hosted in Europe and comply to the letter with the recommendations of the CNIL.
Last advantage, it is sizeable, the service is completely free and without advertising. Still in development, we will follow with interest the development of this tool designed for use in schools.
To be tested with your students or colleagues?

Bad news: Free platforms (linux …) are not natively supported 🙁
Hello
The open-source (Qt) technology we use to develop the client interface makes it possible to generate a package for Linux.
We are three developer parents who encode this application (client and server) on our free time 😉
So we haven't found the time to generate this package yet. In view of the request it is not impossible to see it or even appear one day 😜
We are currently focusing on adding new features to demonstrate engine power under the 😇 post-class bonnet
