MindMaps or mind maps are on the rise. Deserved success, they make it possible to organise one’s thinking or to put one’s projects in order. Mind maps are also great ways to clearly present concepts to students and allow them to memorize them well.
I have already had the opportunity to present several tools that make it possible to create mental maps online. Here are three others that have the particularity of working on your tablet or even on your smartphone. Three tools to create mind maps in mobility.
SimpleMind+

Like most mobile applications of this type, SimpleMind offers a free version and another so-called "Pro" for a fee. SimpleMind+ is very simple to use. You slide, rearrange and edit the different components of your mind card directly with your fingertip. The pro version adds additional customisation features with the ability to link to other cards, insert images, play with colours. Mind maps can be saved on DropBox. SimpleMind+ is offered as well for iOS that for Android.
MindNode

MindNode only works on iOS and it is a shame. This third application allowing you to make mind maps on tablet or smartphone is a little gem. It is also regularly ranked among the best apps on the Apple store. MindNode shines with its simplicity. In addition to all the classic functions, it allows, among other things, to connect nodes of several mental maps. You will be able to export your creations in different formats ensuring maximum compatibility with a simple gesture. MindMap also exists for Mac, but has a somewhat prohibitive price tag. For tablet it is also not given with a price of EUR 9.99. I said it when starting MindNode is only available for iPhone or iPad devices on iOS.
Indeed, MindNode for macOS is quite expensive (€29.99), but at a time when many MindMapping applications are subscription-based, the investment is quickly amortised.
I use ‘Inspiration’ on iPad, which is easy to use.
