SoapBox is a new tool that makes it possible to easily create video tutorials or record the screen of your computer. It makes it possible to renew the genre with quality videos in which the trainer is honoured.
SoapBox takes the form ofan extension for the Chrome browser It is becoming more and more difficult to escape. Once installed, SoapBox makes it easy to record, edit and share quality videos in just a few minutes.
Soapbox works in the same way as other tools of this type. A click on the extension and video recording is launched. Sopabox films two things in parallel. The first is the screen of your computer, the second is yourself via the webcam of your machine. But be careful here the video capture is of very good quality. Your face, for example, is not in postage stamp format, but squarely in full screen.
The tool integrates and it is one of its features a video editor that will allow you to edit your video once it has been recorded. A simple but effective editing studio that will help you remove passages. It also incorporates a rather original post-production function that allows a click to switch from a view of the recording of your screen to a view of your face or to a shared screen composed of the two planes placed side by side.
Once your video is finished you can share it by email or on social networks. Soapbox does not allow you to download it to your computer. The tool thus guarantees you, by hosting the video itself, a good quality of broadcasting. Another advantage is that you keep your hands on editing the video, which can be edited on the fly even if it has already been shared.
SoapBox is a pro tool for serious projects. The free version allows you to make three complete videos. The paid version overcomes all limitations, but remains unaffordable for the world of education. A much more reasonable education rate would really be welcome. We'll see if the creators of Soapbox, the Vistia company, hear the message.
