Classkick is an online platform that allows you to create and offer exercises to your students. It facilitates follow-up and personalized live feedback.
Classkick allows your students to call on you when they need it most during an exercise. It is the central argument of the creators of this mature service that surfs on the increase in the use of tablets in the classroom.
The use of the teacher-side tool does not pose major difficulties, except for an interface in English that would benefit from being French-speaking. For the rest everything is quite intuitive and you will find many videos that will accompany you in the grip.
Classkick can be used on iPad or on any computer from a simple browser. The teacher must create a main account and then open a class and register his/her class and finally fill in the first name of his/her students. The platform provides a unique code that will allow them to connect.
You will then be able to create your lessons and exercises very simply. You will be able to use your own content and customize it as you wish with a series of editing tools that are very easy to use. You can add, text, sound, videos, links, etc. and build small exercises to then submit them to your students.
It is after that that ClassKick takes all its interest. The online application or on your tablet provides you with a dashboard that allows you to have an overall view of all your students. Much like in a language lab, you can switch from one student to another. Students on their side have at their disposal a button that allows you to raise your hand (virtually) and to attract the attention of the teacher. Practical.
You can thus dialogue privately with each student and intervene directly on his screen to explain an operation for example or a notion. Explanations that you can possibly share with the whole class. Another interesting function is the possibility to help each other in the same way.
Classkick can be used unlimitedly for free. By paying a subscription of around EUR 10 per year, you gain a few additional options such as the possibility to rate the exercises or give yourself access to a virtual room in which to exchange with the whole class.
