PowerNotes is a CTBT tool that makes it possible to take notes when doing research on the Internet. A service designed for the world of education that will allow you to highlight text passages, keep them and organise them for your research work.

PowerNotes is an extension for the Chrome browser. Once installed you have a virtual workbook at the click of a button in which you will be able to take all kinds of notes during your browsing on the Internet in the simplest way possible.
When searching the internet, simply highlight the text you want to keep and PowerNotes will set it aside in your search workbook. You can also add a comment or a note to complete the excerpt. By the way, the tool will also keep the URL of the original page. Practical.
This is all the more convenient as the platform allows you to create one or more search files. Each of them can be capitalised at your convenience. When you highlight a passage from a web page, you can choose the project and chapter in which to classify your excerpt. The ergonomics of PowerNotes have been well studied. A button at the bottom of your browser displays a sidebar where you will find all the extracts stored.
From there you can edit them, delete them, add comments. You can also export them via the "Project Online" function. A sort of final summary of the results of a search. A summary that you will be able to edit easily by first giving it a title and adding a general presentation. You can then change the order of the extracts stored by simply dragging and dropping.
Once you are satisfied with the result, all you have to do is export everything in Word format in a flawless layout.
PowerNotes is of great use to both a teacher or researcher and a student. It is a curation tool for education that does not lack assets.
This tool will be closely monitored as it is still in development and its creator announces new functions to come.
PowerNotes can be used free of charge to manage a project. Take the test, you may not be able to do without it. A paid version allows around 40 euros per year to create and manage as many projects as you want.
