Helperbird is an extension for Chrome and Firefox that will make it easier for dyslexic people to read web pages. A great idea in a very simple tool to use.

It's hard to even make it simpler. Once installed on your browser, HelperBird will by one click substitute the font of the web page you are reading by OpenDyslexic, a font specially designed to make it easier for people with dyslexia to read. You can change or return to the original font simply and as many times as you want.
The extension transforms the default website font, but it only takes one click to disable it. This is very convenient for computers that are shared.
OpenDyslexic is a well-known resource for dyslexics. This is a Royalty-free font intended specifically for: dyslexic. Designed from a free font, it has been modified to adapt it to the requirements and reading constraints inherent in dyslexic people, it includes normal, bold, italic, bold-italic styles.

HelperBird can be used free of charge. The extension offers a premium version that is not indispensable, but adds some additional functions that are not without interest. These include the possibility of using HelperBird directly in GoogleDocs or the possibility of automatically disabling it on certain sites defined in advance.

When you want to add the extension in Chrome, you will be asked for €3.69. The free version no longer seems to exist.
