1 science activity per day for the youngest. This is what the librarians of the Cite des Sciences et de l’Industrie in Paris propose throughout the lockdown period. A resource that deserves a full-fledged article in the list of Free Educational Resources in Science presented here a few days ago.
The City of Science Library offers a series of practical sheets to carry out fun, amazing but also interesting activities in science to be carried out between children and adults at home. What to offer ideas for activities to parents in which to get fully involved.
Science activities that are easy to carry out
The library of the Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie has done the right thing. It thus offers according to a very simple principle to understand a daily proposal in the form of a practical sheet.
Each of them indicates the age of the target piblic and whether the activity can be done alone or requires the presence of an adult. Other useful information can be found on the website: the average duration of the activity.
Each sheet is divided into chapiters: the necessary material, how to do it step by step, what is happening and what is to be observed. Malignant, the animators of the library add a final chapter entitled "Learn more" which highlights books present at the media library for when "…the library will reopen its doors".

The site offers around 30 activities to discover. How to make an Iceberg at home? Would you be able to dissolve the shell of an egg? …There is something for all tastes and … for all ages. A real happiness.
