SchoolMouv Manuals. Tailor-made textbooks

Last updated on 19 May 2023

Do you no longer want to juggle several different supports and tools to create, present and animate your courses? Do you want to edit your textbooks, organize them according to your needs and add your own content?

In this case, I advise you to take a look at the SchoolMouv Textbooks.

SchoolMouv

Teachers, the main actors of the project

Two years ago, Shannon Picardo identified the needs of teachers using the SchoolMouv platform he founded.

He then understood that a new generation of digital textbooks, better adapted to teachers’ expectations, was in demand.

We We understood that the current textbooks no longer met their expectations. Too rigid, not very scalable, they do not allow them enough to express their pedagogical freedom. They must multiply the tools to prepare and animate their classes.

The SchoolMouv team, made up of around 50 employees based in Toulouse, has therefore embarked on more than 18 months of research. To ensure a relevant response to teachers’ challenges, they decided to put these teacher needs at the heart of the product. It's a really good idea.

The fruit of this reflection, the First Collection just released in SVT, Mathematics and History for the general high school.

The result is impressive. SchoolMouv Manuals offers you not only a digital manual, but above all a simple tool that allows its content to be adjusted at any time.

With the SchoolMouv textbooks, students access the version of the textbook that the teacher will have personalised to follow the curriculum and the content as they thought it would be.

Specifically, the SchoolMouv digital textbooks allow you to:

  • personalise the entire manual, from programme organisation to content editing
  • group all your content in one place, from creating documents to importing your existing documents
  • Facilitate your class with presentation tools always on the same tool.

True to the SchoolMouv DNA, the content was designed and written with several hundred education professionals and teachers.

50 % income to authors

Another difference in size is that Project Contributors will share 50 % income. This is an interesting way of valuing content that you may have already created as a teacher.

Of course, the procedure for submitting content is rigorous to ensure the quality of the manuals.

The editorial team determines in advance the documents to be produced in each manual. It verifies and validates each request for collaboration.

Finally, a thorough review is carried out by teachers and school publishers before publication.

And, like everything is digital, the manuals are constantly updated. It is this version of the textbook that is provided to teachers wishing to use the textbooks. They are free to acquire a licence to personalise their version of the textbook, which they will want to distribute to their pupils.
