eStory. A simple tool to create chronological friezes

Last updated on 12 May 2026

eStory is a new free tool to tell stories in the form of a chronological frieze. Very simple to use, completely free, it offers an interesting alternative to create a chronological frieze to then be able to share it easily.

Create a simple chronological frieze

With eStory do not look for advanced options or complex multimedia enrichments that can be found in the best tools to create chronological friezes. Here, we do so in simplicity, not in the debauchery of means and options of any kind. The big advantage is that it can later be entrusted to younger pupils or users who lack digital agility.

Friesland

To create a timeline on eStory, you must create an account using an e-May address. Then you can create as many friezes as you want. The use, as has been said, is very simple. You have to start by giving a title to your timeline and choose a beautiful cover image. All you have to do is create the events you want to see on it. Each event on your timeline is created by adding a date, title, short description, and cover image.

Pub

The tool offers a preview system that will allow you to see and validate each pin of the frieze before publication. To illustrate your point only still images are allowed. We would love to see in a quick update the possibility of inserting videos.

Share your chronological friezes with great ease

eStory was designed to create chronological friezes, but also to share them. The website of the application also offers more than a thousand friezes created by its users and which can be used freely. They're 99.% in English, but cover many areas.

estory

As for your timeline created with eStory, you can publish it publicly or keep it private. Publishing options include sharing a direct URL for your timeline or using the embedded code provided to display your timeline on a web page.

eStory is free and without any advertising.

Very good tool, thank you for the discovery. Tested this morning, the integration via iframe is however a bit limited, I had to go through an iFrame integrator to get something usable.
