Last updated on 9 February 2025

Citéco, the City of Economy and Currency of the Banque de France offers on its website a magnificent interactive frieze that allows you to discover all economic thought from Aristotle to the present day.

The people of Citéco did things right. This large multimedia fresco is a model of the genre. Clear, playful and comprehensive, it will allow your students to discover the main figures and currents of economic thought from antiquity to the present day.

A rich and complex history to which this multimedia realization gives a global meaning through 70 interactive cards that enrich the frieze. 24 schools of thought, 55 of the most important authors are presented in detail. And if this is not enough, the most curious will be able to visit the additional resources presented in each sheet.

Factsheets, photos, images, videos and more than a dozen short radio programmes produced for the occasion will enable visitors to familiarise themselves with the main currents of thought.

This animated fresco is a real success. It is to be put in all hands from the college.

By the way, I invite you to visit the teaching area of the City of Economy and Money. Teachers of economics will find several interesting resources to illustrate their courses.

The great absentee seems to me to be especially Richard Cantillon, physiocrats.
There could also be Martín de Azpilcueta and Luis de Molina from the Salamanca school.
We could add so many people that space would be short very quickly. 😉
