While video has been on the rise for some time now, sound remains an interesting medium for use in the classroom. Lighter, easier to use too, audio can be used for a podcast, audio lesson or radio capsule to insert on a site or blog. This is undoubtedly the simplest of the three audio tools presented here. Clyp allows you to upload an audio file or record it directly from the browser and then easily share it. Clyp accepts most sound formats: mp3, ogg, m4a, wav, aiff, aif and 3gpp. Clyp can be used without being registered. The tool also offers a mobile app for iOs and Android. Practical.

The third tool in this short list is arguably the most comprehensive of the three. It is true that its use is not quite the same. Mic Note is a tool to record sounds but it also and especially allows to take notes. Ideal for recording a course or interview. You can take notes at the same time as the recording. These will be automatically spotted on the sound file to allow you to find them easily. The tool also offers simple mounting functions. Mic Note comes in the form of a Chrome extension or Mac, Windows, Linux, Android application.
