LyricsTraining is a free online platform forLearn a language through song lyrics using video clips as the main medium.
This is undoubtedly a good idea that should not displease your students who love music clip taps where they find their favorite artists.
LyricsTraining Choose a popular music video and play to recognize words or expressions in the lyrics of the songs. Concretely, once the video is launched, the lyrics are displayed as a subtitle of the video. A karaoke-style text, but with holes. The pupil fills them on the keyboard by listening carefully to the song.
Four levels of play are offered with increasing difficulty.
When listening, the system makes it possible to listen again to the passage where the word to be discovered is located as many times as necessary until the student understands the word. To help him, entering the word is guided. Only good letters are accepted. Malin. Once the word is discovered, the song picks up at the place of the word to be discovered, allowing the player to hear it again.
A great system, especially since the creators of the platform have enriched it with a game function. By registering on the platform, learners will be able to accumulate points and try to be on the online list of the best players.
Your students will learn by singing, but also by playing. Winning recipe. By registering on the site, you can also create a kind of playlist of your favorite songs and then find them easily.
LyricsTraining also offers a search engine to search for the title of a song or artist. Very useful also the possibility when you listen to a song to print lyrics with a single click. You will find clips in most languages.
LyricsTraining is free and offers a fun way to exercise your students’ ears while allowing them to enrich their vocabulary. Only small reproach, the advertising a little too invasive to my liking.

Thank you very much for sharing.
Once again, your disclosures are a gold mine for us, Fle teachers. I am a teacher in Portugal and since I only have one class per week with each of my classes (in total 8), I have created a blog to allow my students to maintain contact with French outside of classes and improve their language skills, thanks to the activities I offer them.
With regard to the Lyrics Training platform, I would like to know whether it is possible, on the one hand, to create our own resources and, on the other hand, to include a song on a blog. I searched but did not find the HTML code.
See you soon
Prof. Brigitte Lima
Hello Brigitte,
Thank you for your comment. Unfortunately I think you have pointed out the two weak points of Lyrics Training. Impossible to insert a video on a blog and impossible to offer its own … resources
I just sent a message to the creators of the service to let them know, you never know.
Nice end of the day in Portugal.
Is Boa late?
Friendly.
Fidel
Hi, thank you very much for the lyricstraining review, Fidel!
Registered users now can create their own qualified exercises selecting the words to be filled in a song.
You have two ways to access this feature: in the upper right hand corner menu, click "My Exercises", or another way, selecting any song and then click the jumping button "New exercise" in the bottom right hand corner, that appears in the Game Mode selection page.
This new functionality is part of a new service for teachers we are developing. We hope you enjoy it.
Looks,
lyricstraining team
Another downside: many spelling errors in the interface (in French at least, I did not check the other …). It is a pity for a language learning site!
For English, I just made a few songs and a film scene: it’s awesome!!!
